A Whole New World

Big day, 2 posts!  We had our 20 week ultrasound today and the good news is that the baby is healthy.  The other good news is that we are having a GIRL.

HOLY SH!T!  I know, right?

I can't even imagine what this means. . . well, I can. It's pink-- and the pressure to dress my kid in things other than a t-shirt and shorts and possibly even those cute little mary jane socks. . .  teenage drama, twirling, pig tails, ribbons, toenail paint etc. etc.  We are thrilled.

I am surprised and a little intimidated but thrilled. I have grown so accustomed to boy that I am spinning a bit with the idea of a girl.  GIRL. G-I-R-L.  WHOA.

It also means that we may be adjusting rooms in our house a bit to accommodate both children coming into our life soon.   Likely, James is moving rooms to share with his Ethiopian BROTHER.   HOLY SH!T, I know, right??   We feel like we got a two for one ultrasound today.  ;)

Happy times in Fitzland

  1. Diggity dang! So FREAKIN exciting! I'm so delighted for you all! :)

  2. WOW! What an exciting day. Girls are great (boys are too- I just have no clue about them.) I think I need more back story on the adoption- maybe I'll go through your blog. Are you adopting a baby or will he be older? Anyway hope all is well- looking forward to following your adventures! -Casey
